Through an innovative, interdisciplinary online education program now under development, Islands Institute courses will help participants use art to address real-world issues in ecology, equity and economy, while they explore creative solutions for the survival of the planet.

The Islands Institute offers professional and personal development to artists who want to extend their practice, educators, planners, environmentalists, citizens, community service providers, elders and activists. Admission is open.

Participants tally the economic, social and spiritual costs of current land-use trajectories, while they find ways to initiate a different future in their home communities.

Help Make it Happen

Participate in course development by testing Islands Institute courses. You can work on your own, or with a small group of two or three people from your home community. Costs are minimal. For more information email director@islandsinstitute.com.
