Fire sculpture for Illuminares, created by David Pan under the artistic direction of Paula Jardine. Jardine recalls. "It was a metal box with metal rods that were slightly springy, waving back and forth like flaming lollipops. The main box was filled with a kerosene-soaked futon. Nasty! Spectacular! If we had done it in daylight and people could have seen the billowing black clouds of smoke, I don't think we could have done these types of fire sculptures."
