Inner Cities, the first Public Dream,
1979. Jardine remembers, "The show
featured a real estate salesman who was
excited about the development boom, and
a homeless woman who slept in a
dumpster. We performed it in a back
alley on a loading dock, with a big
dumpster beside it. I had to visit every
business that backed onto the alley to
ask permission. That was probably the
hardest part of doing the show - I was
so nervous. The show was free, but the
real estate salesman would rent you a
chair for $5.00." |
