Alicia LaRue, Athabasca Grass Dancer.

Looking for impact in her crusade for sustainability, LaRue  combines images she believes are polar opposites to get her message across. The portrait of a twelve-year-old Fort McKay powwow dance, who McKay befriended while she was living in the area, contrasts with one of the oil refinery smokestacks that always loom on the Fort McKay horizon.
